Ingredients

✔ pork ears – 2 pcs.
✔ carrots – 1 pcs.
✔ onions – 1 pcs.
✔ garlic – 3 large cloves or 1 small head
✔ bay leaf – 3 pcs.
✔ scented pepper – 3 pcs.
✔ black pepper – 10-15 peas
✔ salt – 1 tbsp.

Directions
  1. Pig ears wash and clean.
  2. Prepare onions, carrots and garlic.
  3. Pour water over the ears and bring them to a boil, remove the foam.
  4. Throw vegetables and spices to your ears. Boil for about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  5. Enjoy delicious and healthy pork ears.

On the shelves of the store there is an increasing number of products not quite familiar to everyone – pig ears. The most popular option, which is available to everyone, smoked “to beer”. But today we will talk about boiled ears, which will fit both to beer and garnish, and may even become an ingredient of a separate dish. By the way, this recipe is not only tasty, but also healthy, because the product is saturated with collagen, which positively affects the ligaments and joints.

For a start, let’s prepare pork ears. They should be thoroughly washed, especially in the inner part.

It is also good to scrape the hide with a knife. If you have hair on your ears, tar it. At home you can do this with a gas stove, lighter or gas burner. I did a procedure on the gas stove.

Ideally we should get clean ears without hair, dirt and dark spots.

How to boil pig’s ears? Everything is elementary and simple! Throw them entirely in the pot. Pour in water to cover them fully.

During the cooking process, the water will boil and the ears will swell, so make a small reserve of “a couple of fingers” of water. Put the pot on the stove and leave until boiling.

 

For this amount of vegetables and spices can be cooked up to 4 ears.

Fact

While the ears are boiling, we prepare the other ingredients – clean carrots, onions and garlic. We leave the vegetables intact. The only thing is that I cut the carrots in half. As soon as the water in the pot starts to boil, we gather all the foam and throw in the vegetables. Add salt, pepper and bay leaf.

We leave our ears for an hour and a half, on a small fire, with the lid closed.

After the necessary time, we get ready boiled pork ears. The base of the ears will be fatter and softer, and the rest will be crispy.

According to this recipe, the dish can be given both to adults and children. Personally, I liked to eat ears as a child.

If desired, ready pork ears can be complemented with mustard, horseradish or sauce, such as plum.
