The beauty of this recipe is that the cottage cheese buns can be made both sweet and salty. They are also healthy food buns that can be eaten by people on a diet or who are eating good food only.
I made salty buns this time, so I only used salt. If you want sweets, add a sweetener and vanilla. Salted cottage cheese buns are good to use as a base for another dish, like burgers. Sweeteners can be used as a separate dish.
Let’s start by making curd dough for buns. For this we mix the cottage cheese, eggs and salt into a homogeneous mass. It is better to do this process in a blender, because in this case, the final dish will not have large particles.
We add sieved flour and baking powder.
By sieving the flour, you do not oxygenate it, or make the dough more lush – these are long proven facts. This process is necessary in order to extract mote from the flour or break up solid lumps if moisture has entered the flour.Fact
Gently mix our cottage cheese dough. In the end, it has to be sticky and not too thick. If it’s thick, add 1-2 tbsp of natural yogurt or non-fat sour cream.
Now we have to make our cottage cheese buns. With our wet hands we form small balls and place them on a baking tray covered with parchment.
The silicone mat is also suitable for baking. I ended up with 7 small buns the size of a pampoupon. We put the buns in a 180-degree oven for 20 minutes.
After the necessary time it is recommended to grease the buns with milk or egg and leave them in the oven for another 10 minutes. This procedure will give the crust a nice “tan” and the pastry will look even more delicious.
We take it out and eat it. As mentioned earlier, buns can be eaten on their own or as a base for another dish.
Bon appetit! Don’t Starve 😋
