Ingredients

Dough:

✔ wheat flour - 400 g + 150 g
✔ milk - 100 ml
✔ water - 150 ml
✔ olive oil - 4 tbsp.
✔ dry yeast - 2 tsp.

Sauce:

✔ tomato paste - 300 gr (5 tbsp)
✔ salt - ½ tsp.
✔ pepper - ¼ tsp (to taste)
✔ onions - 2 pcs.
✔ oregano - 1 tsp.
✔ basil - 1 tsp.

Topping:

✔ mozzarella - 135 gr
✔ cheese - 300 g
✔ ham sausage - 150 g
✔ chicken roll - 250 g
✔ olives - 50-100 g

Directions

  1. Knead dough from flour, milk, water, yeast, butter and salt. Put "rest".
  2. Fry onions in a pan or a saucepan. Add tomato paste and spices.
  3. Cut the ingredients for the topping. Grate the cheese.
  4. Roll out the dough and place on an oiled tray. Put in a heated oven to 220-250°, for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Take the dough out of the oven. Apply sauce on top. Lay out the filling. Sprinkle with cheese.
  6. Return the pizza in the oven for 10-15 minutes.
  7. Enjoy incredibly delicious homemade pizza!

Pizza is probably one of the most popular dishes on the planet. I am sure that every city has several establishments that cook it at the highest level. But still, homemade pizza will never lose its popularity, because it is at home that we fully control the process, and can change the ingredients based on our taste. The ideal pizza consists of 3 main parts, each of which I will tell you about further, with detailed photos.

We will start, of course, with a pizza dough. To be honest, I experimented with the dough for a long time before I found the option that suited me, my family and all the guests who were treated to homemade pizza. The presence of milk in the recipe makes the taste more pleasant, and the surface rouge. I take the usual wheat flour.

If you are on a diet, take a look at a healthy pizza recipe where this flour is not used. Pour milk and water at room temperature into a bowl. Pour yeast, salt and start sifting the flour.

Then we mix our pizza dough and add butter in the process.

And we leave it in a warm place for 40-60 minutes. I stand the dough in a bowl, where I kneaded, covered with a clean towel from above.

You should not strictly observe the grammings of flour, water and milk, because depending on the flour, the consistency of the dough, with the same proportions, will be different. The main thing is that the dough will not be very clogged or very liquid.

While the dough is lathering up, let’s start the second part of the homemade pizza – sauce. Having tried a lot of options, I stopped at more “Italian”, using tomato paste and fragrant spices.

First, finely chop the onion and fry it on a small fire. Onion can be fried on oil or a mixture of oil and butter. In 10-15 minutes, the onions will become transparent.

Then add to it tomato paste, salt, pepper and fry for 5 minutes on medium heat. Then pour water into the future sauce and throw the herbs. Mix the resulting mixture and stew for 10-15 minutes, bringing the sauce to the desired consistency – it should not be too liquid or thick, so that it can be conveniently applied to the dough.

The third “whale” on which “stands” pizza – toppings. Here nobody limits you! You can add anything you like to your home pizza. Most often I try to make a variant of several flavors, so to speak, for a variety. And today I will also make no exceptions, and I will cook 4 different quarters.

The first will be with ham sausage, the second – with chicken roll, the third and fourth – from the combination of meat + olives. All ingredients are cut into slices or mugs. And, of course, a mandatory element of any pizza is cheese.

Always try to use a combination of two cheeses: one classic, such as Cheddar, Dutch, Gouda; the second is more viscous when heated, such as mozzarella. Thus, the cheese flavor will be saturated, and the cheese itself will be pleasantly stretched on a piece of pizza.

All cheese is rubbed on a large grater, mozzarella can be cut into slices or halves. And remember:

A lot of cheese – not less cheese!

While we were doing the stuffing and sauce, the dough should have been “resting” by now. We mix it well. I had it a little liquid so I added about 150 g of flour.

Now the dough is slightly rolled out, having previously sprinkled the surface with flour. Then we grease the tray on which we will make pizza with oil, and carry the dough. Gently spread the dough over the whole surface, so as not to leave any humps and holes.

At home you can cook pizza not only in the oven, but this option is considered the best. So the dough and toppings can be evenly cooked, but not burned. I prefer to cook pizza in 2 steps: first the dough, then the filling – so you get a perfectly baked bottom and not dried out top. So we heat the oven to 220-250° and put the dough there for 10-15 minutes.

Lubricate the baked dough with sauce on top. Cover the entire surface, but do not overdo it, so that you do not get the soup.

On the sauce put the ingredients and sprinkle with cheese. I try to distribute all the stuffing evenly and cover the edges well so that there is no dried dough left.

We leave the pizza in the oven for another 10-15 minutes. Since all the ingredients are ready, all we have to do is wait for the toppings to warm up and the cheese to melt and browse a little.

At the end of all cooking we get an unrealistically appetizing and delicious pizza, which will bravely compete with any restaurant. Perfectly baked dough, incredible flavor of Italian herbs and any toppings at will, make this dish truly divine.
