Full recipe

Entering Italian cuisine establishments, you can often see breadsticks on the tables – grissini. I always liked them, so I decided to cook them in the healthy version. Of course, only inspiration was left from the original, but I was very pleased with the result. On the output I got diet curd sticks, which are a great snack and an edible decoration for the table.

The cottage cheese can be taken briquetted or crumbly, but then it must be milled with a blender or fork. The result should be a consistency of porridge. Mix the cottage cheese, 1 egg + protein 1 egg, bran and a pinch of salt. You don’t have to oversaline it too much because it doesn’t taste good.

To make it easier, you can throw all these ingredients in a blender and grind them. The finished mass is put into a pastry bag. I still can’t get it, so I put the curd dough in regular thick bags and cut off the corner.

On a large tray, we cover the parchment, oil it if desired. Now we squeeze the “dough” onto the baking tray with thin stripes. The thinner they are, the more crispy they are. I love it when you get curd straw on the output.

Then we sprinkle sesame, pepper, spices, herbs – where the soul lies. Instead of sesame, flax grains will do fine.

We put the cottage cheese sticks for 15-20 minutes in a 200-degree heated oven.

Make sure that the sticks are not burned out and are suitable for your hardness. As I said before, I like the crisper option, so sometimes I hold it a little longer. We take the snack out of the oven, let it cool down a little and eat it.

I usually make a double dose because the chopsticks with a bang. All the more so because in the dried version they stand long enough and do not spoil.

I made curd bread with this recipe many times and every time it tastes different. It decides a lot of cottage cheese and bran. I liked it better with crumbly cottage cheese grated into porridge and large wheat bran. By the way, if you put just a pinch of salt and add a sweetener, you will get not salty, but sweet sticks. It’s all in your hands.

Bon appetit! Don’t starve 😋
