There are hundreds of recipes for chicken wings, and a dozen of them exactly deserve attention. Last time I showed you how to cook Buffalo wings, but today I want to demonstrate a very fast and easy to prepare variant in orange-soy sauce, which has a perfect sweet-sour balance.
You can take whole wings and divide them into joints for convenience, or buy the cut ones at once. I had the second option in the store, so I will cook with them. If you cut a whole wing, it is better to use the smallest phalanx for cooking broth, because in the oven they will simply burn. Wings are well washed and put in a bowl.
Now let’s cook marinade. For this we take one orange, a few cloves of garlic, soy sauce and spices. From the orange I cut the zest to put in the sauce separately. It seems to me that this way the chicken gets a more pronounced citrus flavor.
We divide the remaining orange into parts and squeeze the juice out of it.
To prevent the orange bones from falling into the marinade, squeeze the juice into a separate bowl or use a strainer.Tip
We add a few spoons of soy sauce and spices to the marinade. I use a little salt, sugar, paprika and pepper.
Sugar can be replaced by honey, but remember that it adds its specific flavor. If you have smoked paprika, throw it, and it will add a nice barbecue flavor to the finished wings. I also always use the hot sauce to make the chicken spicy. Spicy sauce can still be achieved by adding red pepper or some mustard.
At the end, squeeze out a few garlic cloves with a garlic crusher. If this is not possible, grind it with a knife. Mix the wings well in orange soy sauce, and leave for 30 minutes.
At the end of marinating wings, heat the oven to 200 degrees. We will bake chicken on a baking tray. Lay out the wings, keeping a distance between them, so they evenly baked.
By the way, the chicken marinated in this way can be fried both in a frying pan and in a multicooker – it turns out very similar to baked. Baking tray with wings keep in the oven for 20 minutes, then take out and turn the chicken on the other side.
Earlier I poured plenty of chicken, while cooking, with sauce. But now it produces a lot of moisture, so I use it exclusively as marinade. Otherwise, the chicken looks more like boiled than baked.Fact
Readymade wings are served with any side dish to taste: mashed potatoes, porridges, pasta, salad, etc.
The dish is very easy to cook, does not require any exquisite ingredients, but it is perfect for a festive table. The wings get a chic flavor and aroma due to orange juice and zest, and also strengthen its meat flavor due to soy sauce.
If you want, you can bake them immediately with potatoes, but then they will be less fried.
